Hello Lovely People,how was this week?So August is over and as the calender shifts towards September, I get this feeling of fall approaching and the time to take out our warm cardigans and cashmere shawls.Ahh drinking hot chocolate while being cozy in your warm bed and reading your Favorite blogs,yup this is my definition of happiness.

Hello Lovely people,hows your weekend going?Its raining quite a lot in my part of the world and the little johnny in me is sitting at home and catching up on my favorite shows  with some hot coffee and cookies, not the healthiest thing to do,but hey you live only once.

So  while watching one of the shows the other day,BAAM! I  saw a beautiful Rebecca Minkoff  bag,it was Pink and Classy and I had my eyes set on it.Did a bit of research and now presenting this beauty in front of you.

So as summer is here and its officially "back to school" season I decided to reminisce back to my high school days.Its been 5 years since I graduated from high school,3 years at the university and now at the age of 22 starting out to build my own dreams.

But looking back at  the year book was not a very pleasant experience,not because I have bad memories but because of my choice of certain make up items during my growing up years.Well we all make mistakes,that's how we learn!? So today I thought to share top 5  'make-up mistakes' for all those girls out there who are starting out to pick there first make up essentials and are confused choosing the best,and NO I did not commit all of these mistakes,I would have been a disaster walking down the streets.BLEH. 

So lets get started!!

2)PICKING OUT THE WRONG SHADES:Testing foundations and lipstick on on your hands?UMM well my face and hand colour does not match nor are my lips and hands of the same colour so why do we use testers on it? I always use the foundation near my neck that's what matches my face colour and for picking out lipsticks I just use my instinct or dab on a clean sample with a brush on my lips and wipe it of ,because no one wants to swatch those tester on their lips which maybe must have kissed at least a 50 women that day.-__- And for blushes I see the 'redness' colour of my palm and buy a colour that matches it.Putting too much pink on your cheeks will only make you look like a bad case of skin infection.

3)DOING TOOOO MUCH: Its overwhelming when we learn something new and we want the world to see it but its not always important to show off your skills all in one go.Bold eyes,bold lips bold colors.EEH.Not everyone can pull off a Lady Gaga.So ladies always keep it simple and classy,don't overdo it.

SO in this hot weather I though I should do 'Lipstick Addict' tag,I just love lipsticks and I love tags so yeah what better then sharing my love for lipsticks!! This tag is really fun and I LOVE reading through all the lipstick tag blogs/videos,so here Is the lipstick tag.Notice how many times I wrote lipstick..IKR?! LOL

- I don't wear a lot of red colored lipsticks,I find it a little too much but recently I bought Loreal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte Lincoln Rose after seeing Aishwarya Rai wear it at the Cannes Film festival and hearing Rav reviews about it.I really loved the color and formula of this lipstick.It stays on for pretty long and doesn't make my lips look all chapped.So I this is my pick at the moment.

-My best luxury product which again has been in my vanity for really long is the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in the color (Pink in devotion) This is my to-go lipstick when I want my lips to look nice and classy without overdoing it.I came across this lipstick while I was strolling in the mall and I saw the YSL make-up counter and I loved the packaging,haha Yes packaging always draws my attention,so I swatached some colors and finally decided on the pink in devotion and that was the start of my romance with this lipstick.

-I own a lot of drugstore products and its really really difficult for me to pick one, but I will pick out my current favorite which is L'oreal Paris Color Riche Matte 371 Pink Passion.This is a nice rich pink coral infused lip color and right now its my daily to-go color.As I mentioned in my earlier post during summer months I prefer wearing coral colors so this what I am hooked onto right now.

-I don't know if its the MOST disappointing but it is something that fell flat on my expectations.I love maybelline and own a lot of their products so I  was really excitto try PINK alert by Color Sensation,got the POW 1 and it was waaayy to shiney and dry .I don't know if a got a bad piece or what but I was really sad after applying it and disappointed hence wont be repurchasing it.

TIP NUMBER 1) REPLACE!!!

I REPLACE a lot of my beauty items during summer,as the heat is just too much to handle and I want my skin to breath.

Avoiding the liquid foundation

-Bye bye powder blush! I love cream based blush when it comes to giving my skin a natural blushing effect during summer. Because the powder just adds on layers while cream blush looks like my cheeks are naturally flushed.

-Less liquid liners,its a 1000 degree outside what do you expect from me!geesh I am human I sweat and the liner tends to get runny :( so I just avoid packing up my upper lids with liquid liners and prefer tightlining it and using a kohl pencil for lower lids and MASCARA.Yup water proof mascara makes your eyes look big and you look awake and happy.

-See you later Glossy Lips,everything is really warm and sticking and glossy lips are the last thing I wanna do.I prefer really soft peachy/coral lip color which is moisturizing, as well as adds a pop.

-No more dark nail paints.I really avoid dark nail polish colors and replace is with fresh,cool nail colors.

Coral colors for summer are great.

There are tons of ways to make it but what I do is I take some strawberries (you can take any fruit of your choice),put them in a blender add a splash of lemon juice,you can also add a spoon full of sugar if you like it on the sweet side,then add half a glass of milk,few teaspoons of water and blend it together.Transfer the mixture in a freezer proof container and let it freeze until it gets slushy.Just before serving,take it out and let sit for 5-10 mins.Volla you just made yourself some yummy slushy.

TIP NUMBER 2) DE CLUTTER!!!

Just get rid of all the unused,old,not gonna wear it kinda stuff from your closet and life.Yes that shirt we all know looked really hot on you 3 years back,but now you dont wear it.So gurl learn to say good bye and just leave it all behind and you would be amazed to see how much stuff you were hiding in your closet which you have never worn!! :O

 So I highly recommend this exercise and once you have all that empty space in your closet,you can fill it up with all essentials you would need and have guilt free shopping trip.YAY! 

Get a nice pair of sunglasses, its not really important to splurge on 

really expensive ones coz the trends change really soon but also dont get that cheap stuff which might be dangerous for your eyes.Stores like forever 21 carry amazing range of sunnies every year ,just take a trip to the mall and I am sure you will find a good pair.Also on your list should be a cute pair of flip flops,some nice hair accessories to tie up your hair and make life easier while you still look like a diva,oh and a nice floral perfume for this season.

TIP NUMBER 3) PAMPER!!!

After all those tedious shopping trips and closet cleaning work we need some time off to relax and rejuvenate,summers really take a toll and we need to protect our skin from all the damage it goes through so just let your hair down and pamper yourself to some DIY home spa remedies and relish on some home-made slushies.
